And I value his opinion, but after watching the film I happen to disagree. The loss depicted is the worst possible kind.

Unendurable.

Epic in scope. Hence the music. Casey Affleck and Michelle Williams will both get Oscar nods.

Certain critics ......

will deride "Certain Women" for its stillness but what the fuck.

look deeper.

Laura Dern & Michelle Williams are incapable of false notes. Ever.

the photography here is miraculous. the journey is soft and haunting and at times wrenching as fuck. I'll say it again:
